Rat control
There are two rat species living in the UK. The Norway Rat ( Brown rat) and the Ship Rat (Black Rat). The Brown rat is the most common and can be found all over the Worcestershire area. These rodents can reproduce rapidly producing several litters per year containing on average 6 to 11. Rats will often enter buildings through gaps in walls, and defective drainage systems.
Why Control Rats
Gnawing is a daily activity for these rodents. They will gnaw on a variety of materials including wood, plaster in walls, and electric cables. With the ability to bite at up to six times per second they can inflict considerable damage on the infrastructure of a building.
Rodents carry a wide variety of diseases of which many are harmful to humans. These can be transferred via contaminated urine and faeces, fleas, and fur.
Treatment
The first step is a visit from Allen pest control. A Free survey of the building and the surrounding area will be carried out. Results of the survey will be discussed with the customer and advice given on treatment methods available, and areas identified where proofing to block entrance points could be implemented.
With the customers agreement, a treatment plan would then be put in place.
